Construction trades
Built for the trades.
By someone from them.
Forty years in construction and the trades before software. Now I build the tools I wish I’d had: an AI front desk that answers while you’re on the tools, and straight guidance on using AI without getting your business or your customers into trouble.
Kernow.ai builds AI front desks and automation for Cornwall’s construction trades. Foredesk answers website visitors, WhatsApp messages and missed calls from the firm’s own information and texts the owner every enquiry — £499 setup, then £99 a month.

Stop being the office everyone rings.
Kelvo is the staff side: your own team signs in and asks about procedures, RAMS, site rules, templates and prices, and gets answers only from what you’ve approved. Anything it can’t answer comes to you once — then everyone has it.

What every trade should know about AI
AI for tradespeople: what is worth your time
Written by someone who spent forty years on the tools. What genuinely helps a working trade, and what is sales patter.

Open TradeCalcs ↗Straight answers
- Which trades do you work with?
- Cornwall’s construction and building trades: electricians, plumbers and heating engineers, builders and groundworkers, roofers, renewables installers, kitchen and bathroom fitters, and drainage contractors. If your trade isn’t listed and your phone rings while your hands are full, the same applies.
- Is it the same product for every trade?
- Yes — Foredesk. What changes is what it knows. It answers only from your own services, prices, areas and wording, so an electrician’s assistant and a roofer’s assistant sound nothing alike.
- What does it cost?
- £499 one-off setup, then £99 a month. No tiers, no per-lead fees, and no VAT on top.
- Why trades?
- Because that’s where I spent forty years before software. I know what it’s like to miss a call on a roof, and I know which customer questions are worth an answer and which are tyre-kicking.
Trade not listed?
If the phone rings while your hands are full, it works the same. Tell me what you do and I’ll tell you straight whether it fits.
